King Cobra in Kings Iceland ( Mason , Ohio , USA ) was a stand-up - steel roller coaster from the model stand up to the manufacturer Togo , which was opened on 22 April 1984th It was the first roller coaster that was specially designed for stand-up operation and the first stand-up roller coaster with a loop . The track was closed on November 5, 2001, but was in the park until December 2006. Originally the train was supposed to be sold until it was scrapped at the end of 2006. Towards the end of 2008, the remaining parts were sent to Kings Dominion , where they serve as spare parts for their Shockwave stand-up coaster .

Trains

King Cobra owned two trains with six cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car. Shoulder straps were used as a restraint system.
