Invertigo is the name of a roller coaster model of the Shuttle Coaster type from the manufacturer Vekoma .
The routing of Invertigo is similar to the routing of the roller coaster model Boomerang from the same manufacturer. The differences between the two models are that the trains do not run on the track, but hang under it ( inverted coaster ). With the Giant Inverted Boomerang there is a larger version of this model.
The train is pulled backwards up a 40 m high lift hill with a cable pull . Once at the top, the train disengages and drives forward down the lift hill and through the station into the Cobra-Roll . After the Cobra Roll, the train goes into the loop and up the second lift hill. Here the train latches again and is pulled up again. Now the train disengages and reverses the route. The train is braked at the station.
Trains
The Invertigo trains have seven cars with space for four people each (two rows for two people). The passengers in the two rows of seats in a car sit with their backs to one another. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
Occurrence
The Invertigo model was built and delivered four times by Vekoma. The first delivery went to the Swedish amusement park Liseberg , where the track ran under the name HangOver until 2002. After its dismantling, it was first brought to Greece, where it was supposed to be set up in the Allou Fun Park. After two years of storage, it was reopened in 2005 as a tornado in Sommerland Syd and was the only delivery that was implemented at the time.
