Dominator in Kings Dominion ( Doswell , Virginia , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the Floorless Coaster model manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard , which opened on May 24, 2008. It originally opened on May 5, 2000 as Batman Knight Flight at Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom . In 2004 it was renamed Dominator. Since the entire park was closed in 2007, it was dismantled there and rebuilt in Kings Dominion.
Dominator is currently the longest floorless coaster in the world at 1283 m and also holds the record for the highest looping with a diameter of 41 m. The line reaches a height of 48 m and has a 45 m high first drop with a gradient of 57 °, on which the trains can reach a maximum speed of 105 km / h. A cobra roll and the interlocking corkscrews are the other significant elements of Dominator besides the looping.
Trains
Dominator owns three trains with eight cars each. Four people (one row of four) can be seated in each carriage. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
