Apollo's Chariot in Busch Gardens Williamsburg ( Williamsburg , Virginia , USA ) is the first steel roller coaster of the Hyper Coaster model from the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard and was opened on March 27, 1999.

The first departure

After the lift hill , the first drop does not follow immediately , but there is a long predrop in between to relieve the tension chain of the lift hill. However, the Predrop was omitted from the manufacturer's following Mega Coaster. Only the Raging Bull in Six Flags Great America , which opened shortly after Apollo's Chariot opened , still has a predrop. However, this is a lot shorter than that of Apollo's Chariot.

On March 30, 1999 - the press day - model Fabio was hit in the face by a goose while driving .

Trains

Apollo's Chariot has three trains with nine cars each. Four people (one row) can be seated in each car. Lap bars are used as a restraint system.
