Dragon Fire in Busch Gardens Williamsburg ( Williamsburg , Virginia , USA ) was a steel roller coaster from the Custom Looping Coaster model manufactured by Arrow Dynamics , which opened on April 4, 1992.
The 1082 m long route originally had six inversions . The so-called diving cork crew was after the block brake and was removed after the 1994 season. At the end of the day, the track had only five inversions: a 37 m high wraparound corkscrew , a cobra roll , a cutback and a corkscrew .
After the railway was closed in July 1998, it was originally intended to be modified, but the decision was made to sell the railway. But since no buyer could be found, demolition of the railway began in autumn 2001. The demolition lasted until March 2002 and the steel was recycled.
Dragon Fire is legendary among fans because with the wraparound corkscrew and the cutback, two new rollover elements were used, which apart from the cutback at Sky Rocket in Kennywood have not yet been used again.
Trains
Drachen Fire had three trains with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car. Shoulder straps were used as a restraint system.
