Goliath in Six Flags Magic Mountain ( Valencia , California , USA ) is a steel roller coaster model Mega Coaster from the manufacturer Giovanola , which opened on February 11, 2000. For the Swiss manufacturer, it was the first mega coaster and at the same time the first roller coaster in the United States. Apart from the construction of the Titan in the sister park Six Flags Over Texas , which is almost identical, Goliath remained Giovanola's only mega coaster. The roller coaster cost $ 17 million.

journey

After the train has left the station, it reaches the 72 m high lift hill after a 180 ° right-hand bend . This is followed by the 78 m long, 61 ° steep First Drop , which leads into a 37 m long tunnel underground. After the ascent, there is another 180 ° right-hand bend, the descent of which leads into the following hill. A left turn follows, followed by a block brake. After a descent sloping to the left and another right-hand bend, there is a large, ground-level helix . Before the train reaches the final brake, it makes another left and right curve.

Trains

Goliath has three trains with five cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride.
