The Sports Arena GmbH was a 100% subsidiary of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th Europe GmbH (until 31 July 2016 she was the daughter of the Galeria Kaufhof ) and 13 branches on 40,000 square meters of retail space in the sports and outdoor retail represented. The branches were spread all over Germany and were partly on individual floors of the local department store (e.g. in Bonn, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal) or as an independent shop. All branches were closed in 2018.

As a subsidiary, Sportarena GmbH belongs to the former Kaufhof owner Hudson's Bay Company .
