Spreenixen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spreenixen were cartoon characters that were shown on German television as intermediate fades within the advertising program Tausend Tele-Tips (similar to the ZDF Mainzelmänchen on West German advertising television).

Since 1960, the individual contributions within the Tele-Tips have been separated by small film sequences with the cartoon character "Jeremias Teleblick". In 1968 the freelance commercial artist Ladislaus Elischer developed the Spreenixen on behalf of the German TV broadcaster. 15 short films were made, each with a length of 8 seconds.
