Explosive oil is a historical name that is still used today for liquid nitric acid esters , such as nitroglycerin , nitroglycol , diglycol dinitrate , dinitrochlorohydrin , tetranitrodiglycerin or mixtures of these substances. Explosive oil is one of the liquid explosives .

Explosive oil is used, among other things, for the manufacture of dynamites and weather explosives .
