Sri Lankabhimanya

Sri Lankabhimanya ( dt .: The pride of Sri Lanka ) is the highest national honor of Sri Lanka . It is awarded by the President of Sri Lanka in the interests of the Sri Lankan government. It can be used as the award winner's title or prefix. This highest civilian honor is given for "the most outstanding and most remarkable service to the nation ". The award can also be given posthumously , as was the case with Lakshman Kadirgamar, for example .

Other awards from the country

After the Sri Lankabhimanya there is the Deshamanya , the second highest civil order in the country and it is awarded for “ highly commendable service ”. Then there is the Deshabandhu , the third highest civil order, it is awarded for “commendable service”.
