history

The forerunners of today's statistical districts were the city districts, which were first mentioned in the chronicle of the city of Fürth (Fronmüller) in 1800. The city therefore had 9 city districts, which in turn were combined into 2 main districts. The district heads have already collected statistical data, e.g. B. on immigration and emigration or property and employment relationships. In 1878 the districts were increased to 18, in 1910 to 23 and three years later to 27 according to the city council resolution. In 1948 the city area was divided into 30 city districts by a city council resolution. In 1974 there was a new division of the urban area into statistical districts, districts and blocks.
