generally the structural equipment for the activity of the piece caster
specially built, mostly for casting large artillery pieces and cannons :
- Woolwich Gun Foundry, the piece foundry established in Woolwich, England in the 18th century was considered the most perfect of its time in Europe
- Piece foundry Hanover , casting yard built in 1782/83 by Gotthard Christoph Müller as a sovereign piece foundry
- Piece foundry Stockholm , gun foundry built by Gotthard Christoph Müller in Sweden in the 18th century
