The support sample is a veterinary examination method for checking the tolerance reflex in sows . It is usually carried out after a positive flank attack . For the examination, the examiner stands behind the sow and supports himself with both hands on his back in the area of ​​the animal's loin. A sow that is ready to cover tolerates this manipulation.
