St. Boniface (Remscheid)

The Church of St. Bonifatius is a profane, formerly Roman Catholic church in the Honsberg district of the city of Remscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia .

It was from the December 9, 1978 Bishop Klaus Dick ordained and was a daughter church of the parish St. Suitbertus . Services have not been held since 2006. The organ in St. Bonifatius (built in 1981, 12 stops ) was dismantled and sold in 2008. It is now in the Protestant church in Sonsbeck .

In January 2019 it was announced that St. Boniface would be given up and sold. From summer 2020 the church will be converted into a kindergarten. The church and altar were profaned on April 1, 2020 by the Archbishop of Cologne .
