St. George's School (Jerusalem)

The St. George's School ( in Arabic مدرسة المطران, DMG Madrasat al-Mutran  'School of the Bishop') in Jerusalem is a school for boys in East Jerusalem, sponsored by the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem . The language of instruction is English. The college consists of Arabic and English teachers.

St. George's School is outside the city walls of Jerusalem's Old City next to St. George's Cathedral and St. George's College on Nablus Road. It was founded in 1899. As it is located in the Sheikh Jarrah district , the wealthier families in this area send their sons to secondary school here .

The author Wilbert Vere Awdry was a teacher at St. George's School from 1933 to 1936.
