St. Peter and Paul is a Roman Catholic parish church in Barntrup in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Church and congregation belong to the Lemgo-Nordlippe pastoral network of the Bielefeld-Lippe deanery in the Archdiocese of Paderborn . It was built in 1952/53 according to plans by Aloys Dietrich with the support of the Bonifatiusverein.

architecture

The church has an elongated floor plan and is brightly plastered on the outside. It has a gable roof covered with a small roof turret .

Inside there is a gallery in the rear area ; the ceiling is rounded. The choir is much lower and is closed off by a straight front wall and illuminated by four windows.

Furnishing

In the course of a renovation, the choir room was redesigned in 1969. Among other things, a new altar was set up by Karl Imberger .
