description

The east-facing , beaver-tail-roofed baroque building was erected in 1751 on the site of an earlier church. The foundation walls of the tower in the southeast of the earlier church, first mentioned in 1442, are present. The tower is equipped with an onion hood , four sound openings, a tower clock and four dials. Inside the tower there is a belfry with a bell from 1922. The long choir adjoins the nave with a three-eighths closure.

inner space

The interior is decorated with fine stucco and a Rocailles painting in the choir arch. The ceiling fresco is a representation of the Assumption of Mary . A simple table serves as a people's altar , behind which there is the high altar with a wooden sculpture of the Virgin Mary from the 15th century. In the church there is a figure of the Queen of Mary from the 15th century and a simple Madonna from the 13th century. The figures of the church patron Simon the Zealot and Judas Thaddäus can be seen on the left and right in the choir. In the side altar, Christ at the scourge column and Saint Leonhard are depicted.
