State Eagle Aff
Staahaadler Aff , German Steinheidler Affe , is the name of the Gasthof Steinheidel in the Western Ore Mountains dialect .
The strange-sounding name is based on the mandolin orchestrion in the dining room of the inn , the central figure of which is a monkey with a mandolin.
history
The music cabinet (DRGM Mandolinen Orchestrion "Ideal") was built in the 19th century by the Leipzig company "E. Dienst & Co. ”and later acquired by the Zwickau brewery . Before the Orchestrion came to the inn in Steinheidel in 1907, it was already used to entertain guests in other taverns.
