Altai Region State Medical University

The Altai Region State Medical University ( Russian Алтайский государственный медицинский университет ) is a public university in Barnaul , Russia . It is headed by more than 60 departments and has seven faculties. It was founded in 1954 by the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federal Soviet Socialist Republic (RSFSR) and is also known as the former name of the Leninsky Komsomol State Institute of Medicine in the Altai Region (and the outdated English name Altai State Medical Institute).

Education and student life

There are more than 4000 students studying at ASMU annually. Most of the students come from the Russian Federation and foreign students from neighboring regions.

  • Stomatology (Стоматологический)
  • Hygiene and disease prevention (Медико-профилактический)
