State Food and Veterinary Office
The State Office for Food and Veterinary Medicine ( lit.Valstybinė maisto ir veterinarijos tarnyba , VMVT) is an institution of the Government of Lithuania , a veterinary office . It monitors food safety and quality, labeling, animal health and welfare , food consumer rights and food services in the market. It has 1,393 employees (2013).
