State Office for Environment and Occupational Safety in Ostwestfalen-Lippe

The State Office for Environment and Occupational Safety Ostwestfalen-Lippe (abbreviation: StAfUA-OWL) was a state authority in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Detmold administrative district .

With the entry into force of the OWL Bureaucracy Reduction Act on April 1, 2004, the State Offices for Occupational Safety in Detmold and Paderborn, the State Environmental Offices in Bielefeld and Minden and parts of Department 5 of the Detmold District Government were merged in the new State Office for Environment and Occupational Safety OWL. The tasks of the new office were in the areas of pollution control , waste management , occupational safety and water management .

On January 1, 2007 the StAfUA-OWL was dissolved again. The tasks and employees of the office were again taken over by the Detmold district government.
