Military and police staff service

The military and police staff service includes administrative and organizational work in the individual command areas that are part of the administration of a unit or agency. This also includes the coordination of personnel training, the use of materials and the unit's finances.

For staff service, specially trained officers and non-commissioned officers as well as team ranks are required, who may be specially trained for this at the school for military police and staff service of the Bundeswehr . In addition to this rather administrative training, these soldiers usually have additional military or technical training.

Civilian staff service in Switzerland and Austria

In Switzerland, employment in a municipal secretariat is also referred to as staff service. In Austria there is also a staff service at the fire departments. The tasks are the same as in the military field.
