Leadership Base Area
A basic management area is used to structure skills within a management organization . The term is mainly used in the military , but also in the fire brigade , disaster and civil protection ( technical relief organization ).

Departments of a military staff are usually structured according to basic leadership areas.
Germany
In the Bundeswehr , the departments of the staff are structured according to the basic command areas. Classic leadership areas are:
- Human Resources, Internal Management, Press (FGG 1),
- Military intelligence (FGG 2),
- Leadership, organization, training (FGG 3),
- Logistics (FGG 4),
- Guide service (FGG 6)
Other departments / subject areas (e.g. medical service, administration) can be added.
Switzerland
The Swiss Armed Forces are also structured according to basic command areas (FGG)
