The Putra Indoor Stadium is a multi-purpose hall in the Malaysian Bukit Jalil .

The hall is located in the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil, 20 kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur . Construction of the entire complex began in 1992 in order to host the 1998 Commonwealth Games there . The official opening took place on July 11, 1998 by the Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad . The Putra Stadium has a maximum capacity of 16,000 seats. The Badminton World Federation has had its headquarters in the arena's offices since 2006 .
