The Pforzheim City Archive is the archive of the independent city of Pforzheim and is called the Pforzheim City Archive - Institute for City History . The city archive has been located in Pforzheim's northern part of the city since 2000, just a few minutes' walk from the main train station.

During the Second World War, the holdings were largely destroyed by an air raid. After 1945 the city archives were housed in the Reuchlinhaus and in the Nordstadtschule, and since 2000 in former residential and commercial buildings on Kronprinzenstrasse.
