The Bad Pyrmont city bus was a local public transport service in Bad Pyrmont, Lower Saxony . The operators were Stadtwerke Bad Pyrmont, which handed over their bus division to the Hameln-Pyrmont district on January 1, 2017 .
The history of the city bus in Bad Pyrmont began in 1925 with two NAG buses, which replaced the Pyrmont tram, which had been operated as a horse-drawn tram since 1879 .
Line network
In 2013, Stadtwerke Bad Pyrmont operated three city bus routes , lines 61, 62 (Bahnhof-Zentrum-Holzhausen-Zentrum-Bahnhof) and 63 (Nordstadt). A line 64 was also operated for a short time. In addition, additional buses were used for school transport.
vehicles
Low-floor buses of the types O 405 N Diesel and Citaro from Daimler-Benz / EvoBus operated on the routes . A planned use of minibuses on the basis of Mercedes Sprinter chassis was rejected after a short trial because elderly and mobility-impaired people in particular had problems getting in and out. The first Citaro natural gas bus was purchased in 2005, and another one went into operation in 2010. All buses were painted in red and gray, the previous color scheme was green and beige.
Stops
The stops were not designed uniformly, in the 1990s the stop signs and bus shelters were started to be designed in green, this color concept was retained after the introduction of the new bus color design, but was not expanded further. In the course of the inner city renovation, the “Markt” and “Hauptpost” stops were designed to be handicapped accessible, and in 2010 also the stops on Schillerstraße.
