The Museum of Aš Ethnology and Textile Museum (in Czech, Muzeum Aš Národopisné a textilní muzeum ) is located in the restored successor building of the manufacturer Klaubert, who had the building built on the site of the von Zedtwitz family's former castle next to the Church of St. Nicholas . On the Schlossberg there are traces of the former defensive walls, which are accessible in a park and via pedestrian paths. On the outside of the museum, tombs from the former Protestant cemetery are exhibited as part of a lapidarium .

The museum deals with the history of the city and the surrounding area (see also Ascher Ländchen ). The exhibits include several stone crosses and graphics of other stone crosses from the area. Several epitaphs have been preserved from the noble family of Zedtwitz , which were originally located in the vicinity of the Protestant church , which fell victim to a fire in 1960. The historical city center is recreated as a model. Among other things, draft sketches of the Goethe monument can be seen from the numerous monuments in the city . Products, company history and means of production illustrate the phase of industrialization. This includes the floor plan and views of the station .

In 1986 an exhibition was opened on the development of the regional textile industry from the beginnings of textile technology (spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing) up to the middle of the 20th century. The exhibits of the looms and knitting machines are functional. In addition to glove manufacture, another focus is on clothing fashion from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century.
