particularities
City villa, then the company building of Koehler Verlag

The city of Villa Köhler is under monument protection standing villa in the East Westphalian town of Minden .

The villa is a free-standing building in the district of the right bank of the Weser on the bridgehead in an exposed location on Kaiserstraße and the bridgehead on the old fortress site. The two-storey building is designed in a late classical style. Plastered in white, the three visible facades are richly structured. The inner structure is determined by a wide central hallway that opens up the house in an east-west direction. To the north is the printer's own building from 1881. A dance bar has been added to the east. In 1983 the building was entered in the list of monuments of the city of Minden.

In 2016, the villa was sold by a community of heirs to the Igment trust management, which is preparing the house for IG Metall offices to move in in 2017. For this purpose, the dance bar is being torn down, in which the "music meeting on the beat (parrot)" was last present. IG Metall wants to move in on June 1, 2017.
