history
As early as 1861, the citizens of Wolfenbüttel received a gas pipeline. In 1894, with the construction of the water tower, a central water supply was introduced and in 1906 the electrification of the city began with the construction of a power station. Stadtwerke Wolfenbüttel was founded as a GmbH on January 1st, 1979. In 1996, the company took over management of the Okeraue outdoor and indoor swimming pool and the Rosenwall multi-storey car park, the Karlstraße parking pallet and the Neue Straße parking area.
