history

Papierfresserchens MTM-Verlag is an independent book publisher based on Lake Constance, which was founded in March 2007. In addition to numerous publications in the areas of picture books, children's books up to 11 years of age, young people's books from 12 years of age and adult literature (ToMa edition), the publisher has launched various projects in recent years that serve to promote reading skills. Writing competitions for children and young people (up to and including 15 years of age) and anthology projects for adult authors (aged 16 and over) take place every year.

The publishing house is run by Martina and Thorsten Meier. When the children's and young people's book portal www.papierfresserchen.de went online in December 2004, it was initially intended as a pure review portal. In 2007 this project became Papierfresserchens MTM-Verlag. The ToMA edition for adult literature has been available since 2008. Around 500 titles have been published by the publisher since then.

In 2009 the publishing house received an award from Deutsche Bank and the “ Germany - Land of Ideas ” initiative for its commitment to promoting reading and promoting young authors.

The publisher is a member of the German Book Trade Association .

Authors

In total (taking into account the writing competitions and anthology projects) around 1500 authors had their publications produced by the company.
