Stand color

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stand color is a common term used in color register measurement and is used in the printing industry .

description

The term stationary color refers to the printing ink applied in the printing process , which is regarded as the zero position in a color register measurement. The color register control tries to minimize the shift of each of the other colors towards the standard color.

Usually, the printing color black is used as the standard color because it is the most contrasting. In offset printing machines with a series design, this color is usually applied in the first printing unit . This printing unit therefore usually has only limited options for register adjustment.
