Even though she did not pass the high school exams, Sei Saotome was lucky enough to still be a high school student. The Nakano Higashi School accepts them because not all places have been taken. But Sei's achievements at the new school are not sufficient and she not only struggles with learning, but also finds it difficult to find her place in the class. The cheeky student representative and top of the class Taiyo Udagawa is of no help to her. But then she discovers the astronomy club, to which she is invited by its director Mizuki Otaka. She happily accepts the invitation from the handsome, calm boy. But she soon finds out that Taiyo is in the club too. So she comes to terms with him, while she and Mizuki find a new hobby in stargazing.

The series was published from January 2015 to April 2017 in Shōjo Comic magazine by Shogakukan . This brought out the chapters in nine edited volumes. These each sold over 30,000 times. A radio play and a live film version were released in 2016 on a DVD in the Shōjo Comic . In 2019, another film version was released in Japanese cinemas as a real film . Also in 2019, two additional special chapters for the series will appear in the same magazine.
A German translation has been published by Tokyopop since May 2019, with two volumes so far.
