Starmind is a software company based in Zurich , Switzerland.

Products

Starmind makes self-learning know-how networks available to companies. Using principles of artificial intelligence , an algorithm analyzes content and activity and automatically forwards questions to experts within the company. Starmind can be accessed via the web browser and smartphones , providing organizations with in-house expertise in real time. Within corporations, terms such as “the brain”, “ask the brain” or “company brain” are also used for Starmind. The know-how management is based on brain technology . Starmind has also been active in the communications industry since 2018, selling software licenses for international communication among partner companies. For now, only a free demo version is available.

history

Starmind was founded in 2010 by Pascal Kaufmann and Marc Vontobel at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Zurich . The algorithm was programmed using neuroscientific knowledge and artificial intelligence research from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and is based on work on virtual brain tissue and self-learning neural networks. In 2012, Siemens awarded Starmind the title “company to watch”, which attracted considerable media attention. In 2013, Starmind was nominated for several Swiss and international awards. On November 12, 2013, Starmind International AG won the Swiss ICT Award in the Newcomer category.
