The banquet hall was renovated during the Bill Clinton administration .

The banquet hall ( English State Dining Room is) the larger of the two dining rooms in the White House . The room measures around 18 × 12 m and can accommodate 140 guests. The original dining room on the southwest corner of the White House was about half the size; It was not until the renovation in 1902 that an area was added that had previously been used as an office, library and cabinet room.
