Steep Point

Steep Point is a cape in western Australia on the Indian Ocean . It marks the westernmost point of the Australian mainland, but not the westernmost point of the Australian national territory. This is without considering the Australian outdoor areas , on the right north of Steep Point situated Dirk Hartog Iceland . The closest place to Steep Point is Denham on Shark Bay . The cape is located within the Shark Bay Marine National Park .
