Stefan Dohler

Stefan Dohler (* 1966 in Cochem ) is a German manager and has been CEO of EWE AG in Oldenburg since January 12, 2018 . Before taking up office at EWE, Dohler already held several management positions in the energy industry.

Life

Dohler is a trained seaman, has a degree in aerospace engineering and has an MBA. He gained his first professional experience at Blohm + Voss and Lahmeyer International before moving to the Hamburg energy supplier HEW ( Hamburgische Electricitäts-Werke ) in 1998 , a predecessor company of Vattenfall . There and later at Vattenfall, Dohler took on a variety of management positions in the areas of finance, networks, production and markets. In 2012 he became a member of the Executive Management Team of the Vattenfall Group. From December 1, 2016 until he took office at EWE, Dohler was Vattenfall's Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Dohler is the successor to Matthias Brückmann , who was dismissed without notice in February 2017 after the so-called "Klitschko Affair" (see criticism of EWE in connection with sponsoring ).
