Stefan Kölbl (born November 26, 1967 in Nuremberg ) is a German economist and manager. In January 2010 he was appointed CEO of DEKRA eV and DEKRA SE. Stefan Kölbl has been with the company since 2000.

Life

Kölbl studied economics in Nuremberg with a degree in economics. His professional path led through the Berlin Business Initiative for Germany eV and the Frankfurt management consultancy Diebold Deutschland GmbH to the Stuttgart service company. From 2006 to 2009, Kölbl was responsible for DEKRA's entire international automotive business. Under his direction, the DEKRA Automotive International business unit expanded, particularly in growth markets such as Brazil, South Africa and China. Previously, Stefan Kölbl, as managing director, was jointly responsible for the development of the DEKRA Academy Group and DEKRA Personaldienste GmbH.

Kölbl has been CEO of DEKRA eV and DEKRA SE since January 2010. During his tenure, DEKRA took over more than 70 companies in Germany and abroad, and the company's turnover has almost doubled. At almost 50,000, the number of employees is almost twice as high as at the start of the job. Kölbl's investment focus is on expanding digital testing expertise.
