Stefan Mens (born January 28, 1966 in Zurich ) is a Swiss composer and musician.

He studied music at the St. Gallen Jazz School and was engaged as a musician in numerous productions of various musicals. He composed the music for the pieces The Voice (Steffisburg, 1998) and Basileia (T: B. Waldvogel, Basel, 2006), where he was also the musical director; and in 2009 the musical Romy - Die Welt aus Gold, based on the book by Daniel Call and the music by Stefan Mens, celebrated its premiere at the Heilbronn Theater. He also composed the music for 'Amazing Grace' - a musical about Grace Kelly that has not yet been performed.

Stefan Mens developed the idea for a musical with the theme Heidi . The connection between the life story of Johanna Spyri and the character of Heidi was the template for the musical Heidi - the musical (T: Shaun McKenna, M: Stephen Keeling), which premiered in 2005 under Mens' musical direction and was resumed in 2006. The Anhaltisches Theater Dessau also had Heidi - the 2006/07 musical in its calendar. The Heidi series was continued in 2007 with the play Heidi - the Musical - Part 2 .

Stefan Mens also orchestrated the pieces The New Adventures Of Peter Pan (McKenna / Keeling), 'Jeanne d'Arc' by Maricel Wölk and 'Alperose' - a musical with many songs by Polo Hofer.
