Stefan Quast

Stefan Quast (born December 24, 1971 in Kirchen (Sieg) ) is a German musicologist and music teacher.

Life

Stefan Quast attended the Siegerlandkolleg, which he completed with the Abitur, and then studied musicology with a focus on music psychology, music economy and music sociology at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. After graduating, Quast did his doctorate in musicology and ethnomusicology at the University of Cologne.

In addition to studying musicology, Quast completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic. After completing his studies, he completed several internships at radio stations. Quast then worked for the musicology / music education department library and for a music label. He also works as a music teacher.

Since 1998 Quast has worked with various jazz and rock bands as a musician, songwriter and producer.

Quast is married and has a daughter and a son.
