Climbing height (ladder)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The height of rise is the designation for the length of a ladder park of turntable ladders , such as those used by fire departments.

It was used in the old standardization after the letters DL to designate the corresponding turntable ladder. From 1948 the types DL 12, DL 17, DL 22, DL 25, DL 30, DL 52 are known. Turntable ladders DL 22, DL 25 and DL 30 were manufactured and used in the GDR . This designation was valid until the new standardization, in which the numbers no longer indicate the length of the ladder park or the climbing height, but the nominal rescue height and nominal projection (example: DL 23-12).
