Steinkind is a German electronica and alternative rock band that was founded in Leipzig in 2006 and consists of Sandor F. and Phil J.

history

The band Steinkind was founded by Sandor F. and Phil J. in Leipzig in 2006 after they met after a concert fight in 2005. In 2006 they recorded a demo CD in their private studio with the title Kind in Scherben and distributed 500 copies of this CD to various clubs and DJs at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig that year. Among the songs it contained was Deutschland brennt , which was released as the band's first single in 2006 and as a maxi CD in 2007 on the Vail Records label. In addition to the original song, the single also contained remixes by the well-known bands Haujobb and Xotox and was able to establish itself as a club hit.

In 2007, Vom Hier im Jetzt was released on Vail Records, the band's first album. A second album followed with Galle, Gift & Megalomania in 2009, from which the second single Ich bin zurück was released, and in 2011 the band released the third album with stage 011 on the Danse Macabre label .
