Stone box in Jægersborg Dyrehave
In the 11 square kilometer Jægersborg Dyrehave in Lyngby-Tårbæk Municipality , north of Copenhagen, there is a well-preserved stone box ( Danish Hellekiste ) from the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age with monument no. 303014 from 1937.
In the western half of a 12.0 m measuring, approximately 1.5 m high round hill, at the foot of the hill is a stone box with the opening in the east. The chamber is 1.2 m long and in the middle between the two inwardly inclined supporting stones of 0.38 m, which support the capstone that has been preserved, about 0.7 m wide. The chamber's western end stone, which consisted of three or four bearing stones, is in situ while the chamber's eastern end is missing.
