The Drumnadrochit stone chest, discovered in 2015, is located in Glenurquhart in Inverness-shire near Loch Ness in Scotland .

On a flat area between the Coilte and Enrick rivers, an undisturbed Bronze Age stone box was discovered during construction work after the removal of large stone slabs . The capstone may already have been broken in ancient times. A layer of gravel several centimeters thick lay over the stone. The box, consisting of three side and two end stones, was 0.8 m long, 0.45 m wide and about 0.55 m deep. A skull, teeth and a thigh were immediately recognizable. The skeletal remains are 4000 to 4500 years old (between 2200 and 1900 BC). An arm protection plate with four holes suggests that it is the remains of a man. Archaeologists believe that the four ceramic shards found in a beaker about 25 cm high were decorated with a quill pen. This was the first archaeological find in Drumnadrochit, but there is a cluster of archaeological sites in the area.
