The stone box of Knock Maree (also Knockmaroon ; Knockmaridhe or Knock Mary Dolmen called) is a stone box type Linkardstown . It is located on Knockmary (or Knockmaree, Irish Cnoc Mháire ), a natural ridge north of Upper Glen Road, west of St. Mary's Hospital in Phoenix Park , north of Chapelizod (Irish Séipéal Iosóid ) in County Dublin in Ireland . Immediately adjacent is the Knockmary Lodge building . The between 3500 and 3000 BC A stone box built in the 3rd century BC is marked on OS cards as "Cist", "Dolmen" or "Cromlech".

The capstone, washed away by running water, comes from the River Liffey . The capstone is 1.96 m long, 1.05 m wide and 0.33 m thick. It is supported by four 0.85 to 0.35 m wide stones about 0.35 m above today's ground level, and a modern concrete pillar ensures stability. The box was discovered in 1838 by workers in the middle under a five meter high round hill about 35 m. Four small stone boxes were found in the outer part of the hill.

The chamber with a rammed earth floor is 1.2 m long and 0.6 m wide. Two almost complete male skeletons, aged 40 and 50, were found in the chamber as a stool burial with a flint knife , a necklace made of shells and a bone gag. A small part of the capstone is missing and several cups (cup marks) on it are perhaps natural.
