The stone circle of Currabeha South is west of Bandon and north of the R585 road in the townland of Currabeha ( Irish An Chorrbheitheach ) in County Cork in Ireland .

It is one of the typical stone circles of the Cork-Kerry series for the county . 13 of probably 17 stones of the circle have been preserved, including the "lying stone", the two large entrance stones and a central menhir . A characteristic of the type is that the so-called "axial or lying stone" is directly opposite the two highest stones that mark an entrance. It is also typical that the height of the stones in the circle is reduced in the direction of the axial stone. It is located in the south-western sector of the district. One of the stones has grooves .

Fewer stones have been preserved from the north circle (without the central stone).
