The stone circle of Reenkilla is one of the rare Bronze Age sky stone circles ( English four-poster stone circle ) in County Kerry in Ireland . It is located in the townland of Reenkilla ( Irish Rinn Choille ) in a forest on the west side of the small tidal island Knockacappul in the south of Kilmakilloge Harbor . The site near the County Cork border can only be visited at low tide and with the landowner's permission.

Four upright stones form a square, which is accompanied by a single monolith ( English outlier ), which is 0.75 m high and 1.0 × 0.65 m thick and is about 13 m away to the north. The sides of the square are aligned with the cardinal points. The stones are 2.4 m, 1.15 m, 0.7 m and 0.35 m high. Their width is between 1.0 m and 0.5 m.

Reenkilla is the only Himmelstein circle in County Kerry and one of only six in Ireland. The others are: Robinstown Great in County Wexford and Cappaboy Beg, Gortnacowly, Labbamolaga Middle and Maughanaclea in County Cork .
