The stone circle of dashes (also stone circle of dashes House called) is a stone circle type Recumbent Stone Circle (RSC), which in the region Grampian is widespread. It is located on a hill in the former park of Strichen House , about half a mile south-west of Strichen near the north-west coast of Aberdeenshire in Scotland .

The small stone circle about 15.0 m in diameter is surrounded by a circle of smaller stones. The 2.60 m long and 1.05 m high Recumbent Stone is located in the south-southeast of the district and is flanked by two 1.90 m and 1.75 m high stones. Eight more stones form the stone circle.

In 1773, James Boswell and Samuel Johnson visited the place referred to by Johnson as the "Druidenkreis" ("druidical circle"). Around 1830, the land tenant removed the stones from the district, but had to restore them to an oak tree as a “druidical folly” on the orders of the landlord, Thomas Fraser , later 12th Lord Lovat. This happened south of the old location, so that the Recumbent Stone that remained in its place was now in the northeast of the district. In 1960 all stones were removed, with the recumbent stone and its flank stones soon returning until they had to give way to forestry work in 1965.

In the course of an archaeological excavation that began in 1979, the old location of the district was determined and the district was rebuilt at its original location with the original stones by local volunteers. A burial dug up in the area of the district in 1982 was determined using the radiocarbon method to 700 ± 160 BC. Dated.
