Stephan Holowaty

Stephan Holowaty (born September 15, 1963 in Göppingen ) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP).

Life

From 1983 to 1988 Holowaty studied business administration at the University of Hamburg . Holowaty has a degree in business administration and is an independent IT consultant.

Political offices

In 2009 Holowaty became a member of the FDP. In 2013 he was elected chairman of the FDP district association Segeberg . On May 7, 2017, in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2017, he succeeded in entering the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein via a list. He also ran for election in the Segeberg-West state electoral district , where he received 7.2% of the first votes.

In the state parliament he is a member of the European committee, the committee for the cooperation of the states SH and HH, the data protection committee and a deputy member in the economic and transport committee as well as in the home and legal committee. He is spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group for Europe, digital, consumer protection and local affairs. As a representative of the state parliament, he is a member of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference .

In his home town of Henstedt-Ulzburg, Holowaty is a civic member of the Environment and Planning Committee and has been chairman of this committee since the local elections in 2018.
