Stephan Sigrist (* 1975 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss author , interdisciplinary strategist and speaker .

life and career

Stephan Sigrist studied biochemistry at the ETH Zurich and wrote his dissertation at the Collegium Helveticum on the topic of "Chances and Risks of Predictive Medicine for Life Science Companies". Before that, he worked in medical research in the field of molecular toxicology at Hoffmann-La Roche and worked as a management consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and as a senior researcher at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute .

In 2007 he founded the think tank WIRE , which systematically analyzes new developments, trends and innovations at the interface between science and practice and translates them into strategic fields of action for organizations and decision-makers. Sigrist deals with the challenges of shaping the future - with a focus on the digital transformation of business, science and society. At the core of his work are questions relating to long-term planning in networked systems and the promotion of sustainable innovation, taking into account changing social needs.

In 2017, Sigrist was selected as a “Digital Shaper” by the Swiss business magazine Bilanz . He was a board member of the Swiss Allergy Center AHA, at Science & Cité and a member of the Innovation Council of Innosuisse , the federal funding agency for science-based innovation . In addition, Sigrist supports the Swiss Economic Forum and numerous other strategic bodies.
