Stephen Christopher Brady (born June 11, 1959 in London ) is an Australian diplomat .

Life

Brady was born in London and the family moved to Australia in 1960. He graduated from the Australian National University . From 1998 to 2003, Brady succeeded Judith Pead as Ambassador of Australia to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. From 2004 to 2008 Brady succeeded Peter Hussin as the Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands. Brady was Official Secretary to the Governor-General of Australia from 2008 to 2014 . Since 2014, Brady has succeeded Ric Wells as the Australian Ambassador to France, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and Monaco. Brady is married to Peter Stephens.
